Bread and jam helps raise funds for Cope

THE recent Bring and Buy Sale held on Thursday in aid of Cope was a marvellous success and raised a total of €685.

The proceeds will benefit Mitchelsto­wn COPE residents and the organising committee wish to thank the local people who donated fine items for the sale, all who came on the day, those who supported the hamper raffle and those who gave a monetary contributi­on.

The COPE committee were delighted to receive lots of home baking and jams, which sold very well.

NOVENA TO ST FANAHAN

The annual St Fanahan’s Well Novena will start on this Thursday, November 16, and continues till the Feast Day on November 25. There is a new lighting facility available on the footpath that will be lit each day from 4pm to 12 midnight.

LIGHTS SWITCH ON

The festive season will officially kick off in Mitchelsto­wn at 5pm on Saturday, November 25, when hundreds of people are expected to flock to see the Christmas lights being switched on.

FLOWER & GARDEN CLUB

Ballindang­an Community are delighted to host the Mitchelsto­wn Flower & Garden Club for their 2017 Christmas gala demonstrat­ion with Rose Hickey A.O.I.F.A. This event is on Thursday, November 30, at 8pm and is open to everyone.

BALLINDANG­AN COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner of the top prize of €9,300. The numbers drawn were 7, 16, 18 & 22. Consolatio­n prizes of €20 each to Stan Hemmingway, Barbara O’Keeffe, Carmel Dowling.

KILDORRERY COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 14, 25 & 39. There were 3 lucky dip winners of €50 each as follows : Noel Sheehan, Oaklawn, Martin Curtin/Liam O’Sullivan, Walsh’s Bar, Eileen O’Sullivan, Scart, Kildorrery. Next week’s jackpot is €8,300.

PARK UNITED FC LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 14 & 25. Four match 3 shared €150, receiving €38 each as follows: Sean Burke, c/o John Ryan, Lisa O’Brien c/o Mike O’Brien, Tom Creagh c/o John Ryan, Seamus Walsh c/o John Ryan. Winner of €25 lucky dip voucher John Quish c/o The Beehive.

RUGBY CLUB LOTTO

There was no winner of the €12,000 jackpot last week end. The winning numbers were 10, 12, 13 & 24. Lucky dip winners of €50 each wereTommy Roche and John McNamara, €25 each went to Pat O’Callaghan and Tim Luddy.

RUGBY MEMBERSHIP

Rugby Club membership for all types of members, playing adults, juveniles and families and non playing (pavilion) members is now due.

It is vital that all members complete the appropriat­e form and pay their subscripti­ons. Failure to join may result in permission being refused to play, as all players of all ages must be registered with the Munster Branch IRFU and be paid up club members to participat­e in the games, blitzes, and all club events. Players should check with their team coaches for details, or register on line as soon as possible.
