Showcase of what’s on offer in Mallow
OVER 110 EXHIBITORS TAKE PART IN B.O.I. ENTERPRISE TOWN INITIATIVE DISPLAYING THE VERY BEST THAT MALLOW HAS TO OFFER
THE sheer variety of businesses, community groups and sporting organisations in the Mallow area was highlighted at a well-attended showcase event held last Friday evening in the Patrician Academy school hall.
More than 110 exhibitors participated in the Bank of Ireland sponsored expo, which also attracted hundreds of visitors to the venue over the course of the evening.
Organised under the auspices of the bank’s ‘Enterprise Town’ initiative, the Mallow event was aimed at promoting and drivinging business momentumum for small and mediumum enterprises (SME’s)’s) and the wider sportsrts and social communityty across the locality. In addition the more to than visiting san hundred stalls set up for the event, visitorsrs also had the chancece to enjoy some of the entertainment,t, including musicc courtesy of Cusilee Avondhu, a singingg and dancing exhibition - by the Centree Stage School andd a make-up masterclass by Shauna Cranitch.
Pupils from
St Patrick’s and Glantane National School’s were also presented with their Bizworld awards, impressing guest of honour rugby pundit Brent Pope with their innovative and exciting projects.
Mr Pope also joinedoined rug-rugby star Ann Caplice and Mallow hurler Andrew Cashman for one of the highlights of the evening, a sporting panel discussion moderated by MC Aodan Enright from Smarter Egg.
Mallow branch Bank of Ireland manager Sinead Corkery said the event proved to be a great success.
“Our thanks go to all who were involved in the organisation of the event and to those who came along to support it on the evening,” said Sinead.
“Enterprise Town was an amazing evening that will not be frgotten by the community of Mallow,” she added.
