Boxes for you this Christmas
AS Christmas looms ever closer on the horizon the season of goodwill is almost upon us and there’s nowhere better to spend your time and money than in Newmarket.
Newmarket is the town with the warmth of welcome and range of services that will tick every box on your festive list.
We as a community are very fortunate to have the great local traders that we do and the range of products that they provide. On behalf of the Community Development Association, we would wish to thank our local business community for there tremendous support each and every year. They support so many local groups and causes and, in turn, deserve to be supported by us all.
In Newmarket there’s gift ideas for all at very competitive prices and a customer service that can never be beaten anywhere else.
On Saturday, December 2, Santa Claus will be coming to town. At 4pm in the old pump house building on Scarteen Street, he will meet and greet the boys and girls of the local community and surrounding areas.
This event was a huge success last year and, as always, admission will be free.
We will also be turning on the Christmas tree in the square directly opposite as the youngest boy and girl from our national schools will be flicking the switch with a little help from Santa. All are invited to join us on the day and we hope to see you all there to officially launch Christmas in our community.
Our talented local choir will also be in attendance as we light the tree so everyone is invited to sing along on the day.
We wish to acknowledge the support of Cork County Council, who have assisted so much of our projects this year - with special thanks to all those working in our council office here in Newmarket.
