JUST like Santa’s elves, the staff at The Forge in Kanturk make every effort to ensure shopping here is a great experience. The whole atmosphere of the store is welcoming and for proprietor Josephine Leonard this is a top priority.
“Really, there is a great, friendly welcome for people coming into the shop and at this time of year there’s a great atmosphere,” said Josephine. “We’re all having a great time, and great fun, as Christmas approaches.
Josephine puts this down to the staff at The Forge, some of whom have been there right from that start – which is heading for nine years now.
“I’m blessed with the staff we have here. They do create a really good atmosphere in the shop and will go out of their way to help customers,” said Josephine. And helping customers is much appreciated with the Christmas rush now well and truly on.
But Josephine says that being at the heart of the community is also very much part of what The Forge is all about. This means providing the right goods for the community’s needs and also having a friendly word with customers that goes way beyond just shopping.
The spirit of Christmas is alive and well at The Forge and shoppers stopping by are in for a dose of festive cheer along with a massive choice in gift ideas.
And on eof the highlights of the year came last weekend when Santa dropped by to say hello to all the children. Santa came to The Forge, and to Twohig’s SuperValu in Kanturk, on Saturday and Sunday, where the children were delighted to see him.
