LISCARROLL AC

LAST weekend was a quiet one on home athletics, mainly because of the European Cross Country Championships in Slovakia.

Earlier in the week two of our athletes were involved with Schools athletics. Anna Kellegher won silver in the girls under 17 race, while her sister Irene finished 19th in her event.

This weekend we will travel to Waterford for the Uneven Ages All-Ireland Cross Country Championships. Johnny Murphy will compete, up an age in the under 13 boys race, while Anna Kellegher will compete in her own age group at under 17. This will be the last major event for 2017 and will commence at 11.30am.
