PANTOMIME

The annual pantomime presentati­on from the Dorada school of Dance is due to take place in February. The presentati­on on this occasion is entitled, “Robin and his Merries” and will, no doubt, be full of music, song and dance, and will have something to keep young and old, on the edge of their seats.

This annual pantomime is the highlight and show-case of the schools’ yearly work programme and the cast are in regular rehearsal and are looking forward to putting their best foot forward for their legions of admirers.

BINGO

The weekly bingo session continues on Monday nights with numerous monetary prizes including a jackpot of €4,800 an in-house lottery of €570, and a mini-jackpot of €360. Games get under way at 08.30p.m.

CAHIRMEE SINGERS

The Cahirmee Singers Choral group continue their weekly choral rehearsals on Wednesday nights in the Mercy Day Care Centre, Buttevant, preparing for their annual programme, of concerts, competitio­ns and invitation­al performanc­es.

This much-travelled, award winning choral group, is always open to new members joining.

OBJECTION

An objection to the proposed Riverside Walkway in Buttevant has been lodged with the planning department of Cork County Council, which is likely to delay the project by several months unless some compromise can be reached.

LOTTERY

Buttevant Soccer Club’s lotto jackpot now stands at €16,800 and will continue to rise until it is won.
