Sad passing of much loved Marie Collins

-

DUHALLOW was greatly saddened by the passing of Marie Collins (nee O’Connor) on Friday.

She was the beautiful wife of Danny and proud and loving mother to her three sons, Timmy, Patrick and Connie. Marie was the face of DigiPulse Marketing in Kiskeam which she was incredibly passionate about. She set it up back in 2010 and the extremely bubbly entrepreneur played a key role in helping a number of businesses become far more tech savvy.

Three years ago, she was short-listed at the IRD Duhallow Business Awards and in an interview with The Corkman for the awards supplement said she spoke the language which a small business owner could understand. She worked across all sectors but she particularly liked tourism.

She received a First Class Honours in a Level 8 Digital Marketing course at CIT.

Marie continued to update her skills by attending industry conferences and courses.

Marie was also a founding member and dear friend of Boherbue Educare Centre Crèche. She was remembered as someone who has left a long and lasting impact through her voluntary work and the staff at the facility stated on their Facebook page that they are forever grateful for her vision, determination and kindness. A book of condolence has been opened at Boherbue Educare and will remain in the front porch for the rest of the week.

Marie was the daughter of the late Benny and sister of the late Eoin.

She is deeply regretted by her mother Maura, sister Mairead, brother Benny Joe, sister-inlaw Lorraine, brother-in-law Dominic, Danny’s sisters Veronica, Martina and Theresa, aunt sister Aquin in Houston, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, her many colleagues and friends.

She reposed at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Kiskeam and was buried on Wednesday at the local cemetery.
