Time to deteremine the best at Millstreet’s Got Talent final

MILLSTREET’S Got Talent is the perfect showcase for diverse entertainm­ent and the grand final promises to attract a large attendance to the Wallis Arms Hotel, Millstreet on this Friday night commencing at 9pm.

Participan­ts representi­ng community groups, sports clubs, business outlets and pubs are involved and it makes for a rousing night’s entertainm­ent.

That’s hardly surprising, Millstreet and its outlying catchment area hold a strong tradition in music and song, clearly evident from the pre qualifying rounds hosted during November and December.

Singers to musicians featuring solo, duo, trio and quartets add to the variety of a diverse field and it makes for a compelling night’s entertainm­ent on Friday.

Millstreet Community Council Chairman Noel Buckley expressed delight at the response with numbers entered exceeding expectatio­n.

“There’s a huge wealth of talent in Millsttree­t and wider Duhallow catchment area, that was confirmed on brilliant performanc­es in the earlier rounds and a quality line up promises to generate a wonderful atmosphere in the final”, he said.

The finalists are Gerard O’Hanlon (Coleman’s Garage); Mike Doyle, Conor Crowley and Denis McSweeney (Dennehy Transport); Sarah Dennehy (Millstreet Camogie), Laura Dunlea and Patrick O’Flynn (McCarthy’s Bar); Emily O’Connell (Bush Bar), Conor, Donal and James Linehan (Linehan’s Garage); Declan Healy (Carriganim­a Pub); Muireann Buckley (Noel C Duggan); Anna Buckley, Marie O’Neill, Darragh Twomey and Leah Murphy (Millstreet Camogie); Edel O’Keeffe (Millstreet AC); Daniel Kelleher (Carriganim­a Pub); Sinead Guiney (Millstreet Coursing) and Niamh Sheahan (Millstreet Community Council).
