The unique limestone built village nestled in the Ballyhoura countryside has a wealth of history and it is surrounded by an abundance of interesting and scenic attractions.
The Windmill Nursing Group was established in 2005 and is owned by Pat Kennedy and Denis McElligott. The 40 bed nursing home includes a team of experienced staff with commitment to wellbeing, security and peace of mind for reach resident and their families. Individualism is promoted and care is tailored to a person’s specific needs.

Our Director of Care heads up a three monthly multi-disciplinary review process for each resident, ensuring all needs of the residents are met and updating the care plan in accordance.
At Windmill House Nursing Home we offer a safe and secure facility with keypad access and 24 hour CCTV. All our staff are recruited and employed in line with H.I.Q.A. standards and guidelines.
WINDMILL RETIREMENT VILLAGE:
Windmill Retirement Village is adjacent the Nursing Home and boasts 10 fully equipped two bedrooms bungalows on landscaped gardens offering security and companionship to the older adult who wishes to fulfil their mature years.
Our vision is to create a housing complex of ten houses especially designed for you in your autumn years. Your neighbours will be likeminded people of similar age, thus creating plenty of opportunity for companionship while living in a relaxed community.
The retirement village is nestled into an elevated site adjacent to our nursing home on one side and Churchtown on the other. To the back you have open country side with views of tillage fields where you can enjoy the changing colours of the season.
