MORGAN MCSWEENEY R.I.P.

THE death took place on Tuesday, February 20 of Morgan McSweeney at Cork University Hospital.

From a well known and admired old Mallow family, Morgan Was a painter and decorator and resided in Glenanaar Row.

In his youth Morgan played corner forward in hurling for Mallow, Killavullen and Banteer.

He is predeceased by his brother Willie, sisters Jo and Madge and survived by his sister Sr. Kathleen, nephew Mark, inece Caroline, grandnephew Walter, Maria, realtions, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Friday February 23 at 1pm followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemtery. To his family we extend our deepest sympathy.

MAIRÈAD GUNTON (nèe Sheehan) R.I.P.

THE death took place of Mairèad Gunton (nèe Sheehan) at Marymount Hospice on Thursday, February 22.

From Dromahane and formerly of Brass Castle, The Spa, Mairèad is survived by her husband George, sons Cathal and Alan, Brothers Thomas and Timothy, sister Eleanor (Morris), relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass was held in St. Mary’s Church on Saturday February 24 at 2pm followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
