Financial supports information talk for students

WEST Cork Citizens Information Service will hold an information event in Macroom on the topic of SUSI Grants and other financial supports for students.

The information will be relevant to students and their parents planning to go to college in the autumn as well as people considering returning to college as mature students.

The event will be held in the Citizens Information Centre, South Square, Macroom, on Tuesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 22 from 10am to 1 pm and 2pm to 7 pm

There will be information on the following: Steps in completing the SUSI application form; Eligibility criteria for the student grant; How the financial assessment works; Supporting documentation required and where to access the and on additional financial supports that may be available

There will be an opportunity for those attending to speak with Citizens Information staff for individual queries. The SUSI application for the college year 2018 – 2019 will open on April 3, so the information talk will equip intending applicants with the information to make the application process easier and more efficient.
