Kanturk and St. Johns lead Cork charge in Munster Senior Scór Final
CORK teams will put their best foot forward in music, song and dance in search of overall provincial accolades in the hotly competitive Munster Scór Sinsear Finals on a hosting at Cappamore, County Limerick on this Saturday with a full programme underway at 6pm.
GAA clubs from across the province will perform in diverse fields of music, song and dance thus preserving Irish culture and facilitating groups and individuals to maintain a growing interest in a wide cross section of stage pursuits.
From a key rebel county involvement in the diverse fields, Cork carry a strong representation in an eagerly awaited provincial showpiece.
Duhallow’s hopes rest with Muireann Vaughan from Kanturk in solo singing and St. Johns through a set dance troupe of Eileen Buckley, Siobhain Buckley, Kate Kelleher, Maria Casey, Gerdie Buckley, Michael O’Riordan, Seamus Buckley and Don O’Riordan.
Carbery Rangers are sure to raise the cheers, promising to deliver hamonies aplenty in the ballad group per a quintet of Seán O’Regan, Clare O’Regan, Sinéad O’Regan, Danny Collins, Ciara O’Gorman.
St James are represented in the production by Kathleen O’Sullivan, Rachel Hodnett, Deirdre Hodnett, Jonathan O’Donovan, Finbarr McCarthy, Shane Field, and Seán O’Reilly. A Youghal Instrumental Music Group of Dónal Ó Riain. Deirdre Ní Cheallaigh, Aoife de Buitléir and Liam Ó Éalaithe took delight on their advancement past Cork onto the provincial series and a place in Saturday’s final.
