Of course the farmer wants a wife

-

In May 2017, Mairead Loughman, a matchmaker with years of experience in one-to-one matching, launched ‘A Table for Six’ dating events.

Mairead sends three single ladies and three single men on group dinner dates all over Ireland. Tables are matched according to age, occupation, location, whether the members are looking for a long term relationship, if they want children etc. Events are open to everyone from ages 20-70 all over Ireland.

Within three days of launching online, A Table for Six had been featured on the Irish Independent, interviewed by Ryan Tubridy on RTE Radio One, Eoin McDermott on 2FM, Tipp FM, 4FM to name a few. It wasn’t long before A Table for Six was approached to appeared on Saturday Night with Miriam O’ Callaghan and did A Table for Six live.

Within two weeks of appearing on the Show, A Table for Six had received inquiries from over 5,000 single men and women of all ages from all over Ireland looking to attend A Table for Six in the their location.

Many of the inquiries after the show were from farmers! As Mairead has been dating a suckler farmer from Tipperary herself for over two years, she knew that farmers need to meet good country ladies that were familiar with the lifestyle and demands of a farmer and The Farmer Wants a Wife was created.

This works exactly as A Table for Six, however, it is better suited to those from a country background or someone that genuinely wants to meet a farmer. “I meet many ladies and gentlemen saying they would like to meet a nice lady to hopefully get married and to have children together,” said Mairead.

Since launching the events in May 2017, A Table for Six and The Farmer wants a Wife had sent over 1,600 people on dates nationwide with 100’s of success stories to date and many 5 star reviews calling it the “best night out I have had in years”.

How it works -

Visit www.atableforsix.ie to book your ticket. A Table for Six sends you your reservation details for the evening and upon arriving at the restaurant, ou are seated with your fellow guests. Tables sit male, female, male, female etc.

Everyone introduces themselves and the evening flows from there. People are encouraged to swap numbers, should someone take your fancy. However, if someone did not have the courage to ask for a number or missed the opportunity, they can simply contact the office and the staff will arrange a follow up date for them!

The Farmer Wants a Wife is a great night out to meet like minded people and new friends as much as a dating event.

The Farmer Wants a Wife events also have a lot of single farmers and country ladies that are looking for something 100% discrete and so Mairead has been doing one to one matchmaking long before the events were created. Mairead meets every member in person before arranging a number of dates with other eligible ladies and gentlemen.

The next dates for Cork and Killarney are Saturday 24th of March and Saturday 28th of April. Tickets are only €50.
