EPS scoop another gold
THE Mallow-based international water solutions giant EPS has added yet another string to its already impressive bow after retaining its status as one Ireland’s most efficiently run companies.
The company, which this year celebrates its 50th year in business, was given another reason to celebrate after scooping the prestigious gold accolade at the 2018 Deloitte Best Managed Companies AwardS.
This is the fourth year in succession that EPA, which employs more than 450 people in Ireland, the UK and Jordan, has been recognised with the gold standard for what competition judges described as their “superior business performance.”
Founded in1968, EPS has grown from a modest electrical and pumping business into a globally recognised exporter and service provider to the water, wastewater and clean technology sectors.
Along the way it has won numerous national and international awards, including representing Ireland at the European Business Awards.
EPS managing director Patrick Buckley said the latest accolade underscored the contribution of every employee within the company.
“This reflects the ongoing commitment and effort of our hard-working teams across the regions as we collectively grow the business. As we mark half a century in business, it is wonderful to see that this has been acknowledged for the fourth consecutive year,” he said.
Mr Buckley reflected on what has by any standard been a busy 12 months for EPS.
One of the highlights was the launch last May of their €4.5million Centre for Excellence and Design at the company’s campus in Mallow’s Quartertown Industrial Estate.
“We have also expanded and improved our product distribution, construction, asset management and service & repair businesses. As we enter our 50th year in business, we look forward to a continued focus on sustainable growth through innovation and partnership,” he added.
