MEMBERSHIP of Kanturk GAA for 2018 is now due.

To be covered under the GAA Injury Scheme and to have voting rights at the next AGM in late November, members need to be registered online by 31st March. To this end, a membership registration night will be held on Friday 23rd March at the GAA Clubrooms from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

U21 FOOTBALL:

Kanturk made their exit from the Duhallow U21 Football Championship when losing 1-4 to 3-11 to Dromtarriffe in round 2 at Kanturk on Monday 19th March.

All other fixtures planned over the past weekend fell foul to the weather. With the respective adult club championship first rounds coming in April, Kanturk teams will be hoping to get a few league games under their belt in the coming week.

Kanturk will hopefully make their bow in the RedFM SHL when travelling to Na Piarsaigh on this Wednesday 21st March at 7.45pm. Then on Sunday, Kanturk travel to Kiskeam to face the senior club side in the county division 2 football league with a 12.30pm start.

In juvenile affairs, Wolfe Tones (Kanturk) underage teams will finally get their programme of games underway. At U12 football level there is a home game with Kilara Og at Lismire on Thursday 22nd March followed by an away tie with Lyre at Banteer on Sunday 25th March 3pm.

Also on Sunday our U16 footballers travel to Bishopstown to face the home side at 3pm.
