Boherbue
On this Friday, March 23, the local I.C.A guild will host a coffee morning in the Pearse Memorial Hall in aid of Daffodil Day and the Irish Cancer Society from 10am to 12.30pm.
Along with the tea and coffee there will be a selection of scones, brown bread and all kinds of cakes and tarts. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
PARADE
The annual St Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday was another huge success with all clubs putting on a really colourful display.
Cullen Pipe Band who are such an important part of the parade lifted the spirits of the huge support that watched from the pavements in the freezing cold. However, it was dry, and everyone wrapped up well for the occasion.
The organising committee wish to sincerely thank all those who participated and made such an effort to make it another occasion to remember. A special word of thanks to Theresa, Kathleen, Carmel and the others who worked tirelessly with the teas etc after in the hall and to Marie and Margaret for the variety of talent they put on show. People just did not want it to finish. The music and dancing were similar to Ireland’s Got Talent show on TV. To thank everyone individually is not possible but you can all feel proud of your contribution to the 40th anniversary of the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Boherbue. Your spirit and love of your area was clearly evident.
