CITIZENS ADVICE
Citizens Advice will be in the Ionad Cultúrtha, Baile Mhúirne on Tuesday, March 27, from 2 p.m. to share information on Pensions, Social Welfare and Grants. schoolboys club. ‘Sponsorship at this level is always hard to come by and the club is greatly appreciative when it does come. Without this level of corporate sponsorship the club would not survive.2 said Joe Ronan, sponsor coordinator.
UNDER-17S SOCCER
The Coachford under-17 soccer team will host Willow Park from Athlone next Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Glebe in Coachford in the quarter final clash of the FAI National Challenge Cup. This game was supposed to be played on March 4 but had to be postponed due to the snow storm that weekend. Willow Park will be favourites to go away with the win but home advantage and recent form may see Coachford upset the odds.
Home support is vital if the local lads have any chance of advancing to the semi-final.
‘We are appealing to everyone to come out and support Coachford in this vital game for the boys. They have worked really hard to get to this stage of the competition and it would mean an awful lot for them to win.’ Said Paddy Martin team coach.
COACHFORD COLLEGE
The TY students enjoyed a great trip to Krakow in Poland last week. Eighty four students spent four days in the historic Polish city. The students visited Schindlers museum where they experienced an interactive tour of life during World War two. They also visited Auschwitz Concentration Camp where students experienced an in-depth three-hour exploration of the horrors that occurred. They were also fortunate to avail of a rare opportunity to have an audience with a survivor of Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
The group also paid a visit to the famous wieliczka salt mines followed by some fun in the engineering and science museum. Students also explored the Jewish Quarter and Main Market Sq. The large group also enjoyed Bowling, a water park, loads of shopping and the famous city Basement Disco.
