TADG QUILL R.I.P.

THE unexpected death took place of Tadg Quill on Saturday, June 2.

Formerly of Carlow and Mallow, Tadg was a former employee of Irish Sugar. He is survived by his wife, Mary (nèe Crean) sons John, Tadg, Barry and Donal, daughter Eleanor relations and many friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday June 6 at 2.30pm followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

JOHNNY O’CONNOR R.I.P.

(The Harbour Man) THE unexpected passing of Johnny O’Connor at Mallow General Hospital on Friday, May 25 brought much sadness to his many friends and admirers.

From Scart in Ballycloug­h and formerly of Newmarket Johnny was always affectiona­tely known as the Harbour Man.

He was deeply involved in social activities and he was a huge figure in local GAA affairs for many years.

Johnny is predecease­d by his wife Bridie and son Pat-Joe and survived by his son Gerard, daughters Eileen, Mary and Tina, relations and a large circle of friends.Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. John The Baptist Church in Ballycloug­h at 2pm on Wednesday, May 30 followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
