Niamh’s Mayan creation earns free go at Arty Crafty Classes
ARTY Crafty Camps wish to announce the winner of the Art competition to celebrate 30 years in existence. The lucky winner is Niamh O’Regan (11) from Mallow.
Niamh created a brilliant image of a mask based on the Mayan civilization using chalk pastel. She won for herself a free place in the Arty Crafty Camp in July. Congratulations, Niamh.
The camps this year are based on Nature/Farm. The camps will explore its diversity, through animals, flowers, insects etc. During the week, children will be creating artistic works of butterflies, ants, wind wheels etc. through drawing and painting.
The more senior students will explore silk painting, hat design, mask making, drawing and pastel.
This year the Arty Crafty classes have linked up with Mallow Arts Festival and it is hoped to paint a mural, which will be displayed during the arts festival at the end of July.
A great, fun-filled week is guaranteed for all participants. Arty Crafty cater for all ages from 6-12 years of age as well as Junior and Leaving Cert students.Arty Crafty Classes take place in the Patrician Academy from Monday, July 2 to Friday, July and Monday, July 9 to Friday, July 13. The times are 10am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4.30pm. All welcome.
