Araglin Junior B footballers lose out to Glengarrif

ARAGLIN Junior B footballers lost out to Glengarriff in the County Junior B Football Championship replay at Macroom on Saturday evening. At half-time the winners led 1-6 to 1- 1. The final scoreline was Glengarriff 1-15, Araglin 2- 4.

The Araglin team was as follows: Mark Hickey, Paul Hickey, Lar Lomasney, Kevin Condon, Brendan Allen, Paddy Kenneally (1-1), Paraic Evans, Shay Russell, Seamie O’Gorman, James Kearney (0-2, 0-1f ), Cain O’Mahony, Oisin Hickey (1-0), Dave Browne, Tom Kenneally (0-1f ). David Neligan. Subs: Neilius Kearney for Oisin Hickey, Kealan Condon for David Neligan.

Araglin’s Junior B hurlers will meet Randal Óg in the County Junior B Hurling Championship later this month.

Ballygiblin Under-12 B hurlers were in action on Thursday evening last in the 11-a-side Northern Region hurling final against Dromtarriffe in Castletownroche.

The opening half was very close with the sides level 0-2 each.

Ballygiblin had an early goal by Harrisson Conway on the resumption. However, it was Dromtariffe who dominated and took the title on a 1- 7 to 1- 2 scoreline.
