IT’S THE SHOW OF THE SUMMER

CHARLEVILLE 2018

-

CHARLEVILLE SHOW is truly a feast for the senses as there is so much to see and do on both days.

Not only that, the huge variety of trade stands onsite means show-goers can also find out about a massive array of tools, trades and services - from the experts on the day. And there’s always special offers to avail of on both days of the show.

Meanwhile, Charleville Show Committee make sure that, each year, there’s a great mix of attraction to visit and take part in, from perennial favourites to fresh novelties each year.

DOG SHOW

Again this year we are holding an open dog show on Sunday which will be of interest to all dog owners so get your doggie ready and bring it along for all to see and enter on of the numerous competitions on the day. There are 11 different classes in this section varying from Best Family Pet any Breed to Best Dressed Dog any Breed. We also have a class for the Junior Handler this is new this year and we encourage all Young Handlers to enter with any breed of dog handled by a child under the age of 15 years.

PETS CORNER

At last year’s show as part of our pets collection we had on display two micro pigs which created great interest amongst both old and young. This year we hope to do even better as we will expand the number of micro and miniature animals which can be kept as pets because of their small stature and placid nature.

This year we will include Shetland sheep also. These are tiny sheep which are extremely hardy and can live on scant food in artic conditions. They can be also crossed with larger sheep to produce extremely hardy lambs.

We will also have a flabella mare and foal. These are tiny horses kept as pets mainly in South America. Some of the aforementioned animals will be for sale at the show also.

Of course the usual display of goats ponies, hens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, bantham hens, chicks, ducklings goslings etc will be there to admire, to swap or to buy.

And that’s just a taster of all that’s on offer this year.

We in the pets corner look forward to seeing again the usual old friends who turn up year after year to support us.

DECORATIVE & HORTICULTURE

Once again we have a great array of floral arrangements for you the floral artist to put together this year. Also we have prizes for a window box, hanging baskets.

Our floral exhibits are very varied as usual and range from Echos of the Past, Simple Pleasure, Beauty of Nature and Summer Glory to name but a few, this section is always spectacular to visit with the aroma and colour and artistic displays to be seen they are nothing short of first class.

We also have our usual children’s Garden Exhibit and our animal, insect or bird made with vegetable and or fruit, no artificial material allowed.
