Series of summer heritage events in Buttevant

BUTTEVANT Heritage Group has organised a comprehensive programme of events for their summer season.

The annual guided tours of the town have now recommenced, on Saturdays, and will continue until Saturday, August 25. Upcoming, there will be a photographic exhibition, of pre-1970s photographs and records in the Muintir ne Tire Hall, during the month of August, depicting Buttevant, in days gone by. Meanwhile, the heritage group is also updating its website, with relevant information, and is also updating its mediaeval map of Buttevant, which will be activated in due course.

The group will also hold an exhibition by the Western Front Society on Sunday, July 1 in the Muintir na Tire Hall, which will contain uniforms, facts and other material connected to World War 1.
