Mallow drops in anti-litter league

IN the second round of judging in the Cork Anti-Litter Challenge 2018, Mallow received contrasting scores and dropped two places on the leader board.

In the residence section, Bearforest scored an excellent 99.7 out of a maximum 100, while in the town centre, the area between Katie’s Newsagent and Joyce’s Pharmacy was tops with 98.2.

Other areas scored poorly, with scores as low as 83.5.

Overall, after round two, Mallow had dropped from second to fourth place with a total of 1886.9 marks in the Anti-Litter League Table.

The final round in this year’s challenge was completed this week and the final results will be published shortly.
