Academy parents’ association hands over €30,000 cheque

A CHEQUE to the value of €30,000 was presented to Patrician Academy principal Catherine Fitzpatrick on behalf of the board of management by members of the schools Parents Association last Monday evening.

The cash was raised from two recent fundraising events.

These were ‘ The Cube’, which was staged at the Mallow GAA Centre at Carrigoon, and ‘Stars In Their Eyes’, which was held at the Marquee in the Arches in October 2017.

Those present included Parents Association chairperson Denise Mulcahy, secretary Judy Long, and treasurer Ronnie Dunne.

Also present were committee members Claire O’Mahony, Audrey Smith, Ann Buckley, Catherine O’Connell and Tommy Carroll.
