St Theresa’s Place residents outline new plan of action

THE recently formed Residents Associatio­n at St. Theresa’s Place, Kanturk, have put an in-depth proposal in place to improve the area and build community spirit.

Plans in the pipeline for the residents’ associatio­n include the following:

• Apply for grant assistance, once grants become available.

• General tidy up in the area (weeds / green area etc)

• Represent the residents of St. Theresa’s Place and contact Cork County Council on issues such as dumping, weed control, signage, speed ramps, pathways, road condition and other issues.

• Contact any other organisati­on with any other concerns that the residents may have

• Plant flowers/flower baskets/shrubbery

• Community gatherings in the green area e.g. Mass, tea party

The residents’ associatio­n is headed up by Chairperso­n Ben McAuliffe, Vice Chairperso­n Helen Lofts O’Dea, Secretary Noreen Courtney, Treasurer Liz O’Connor, Assistant Treasurer Sheila McAuliffe.
