Latest Thursday club update

NEWMARKET Thursday Club finishes for the summer today, June 21, and on June 28 all members will go on a mystery tour.

It has been a busy time since Christmas with many speakers and visitors to the club. Outings to Jamborees in Hazel Tree and over 50 competitions in City hall are but two of the highlights of the year so far.

We wish all our members and their families a wonderful summer.

A special word of thanks to Ellen O’Reilly, Mary O’Sullivan and Mary Murphy for their time and efforts all year.

Grateful thanks to all who gave of their time to collect for Mary mount Hospice last week, to all the business owners who gave space for collectors, and to the generous public who donated € 3490 to the Hospice.

It was a wonderful effort from a wonderful town and countryside.

Don’t forget to rustle up a team for Festival Quiz on July 5, at the usual venue and usual time.

Proceeds from the raffle will be divided between Thursday Club and Mary Stacks’ annual outing.

If you wish to donate to the raffle give a few euro to someone who will be there.
