GLANTANE CEMETERY MASS

This will take place in St.John the Baptist cemetery in Glantane on this Friday June 22nd at 8.00 pm. This is the second year for this event and a great crowd turned up last year so hopefully, weather will oblige again. The mass will be celebrated in the church if the weather is not suitable

GLENOGUE SCHOOL 50TH

A great crowd turned up for the 50th anniversary commemoration of Glenogue School which commenced with a mass in Bweeng Church celebrated by Frs. John O Shea, Michael O Hanlon and Sean Horgan, all past pupils of the school. A fantastic meal was provided by the organising committe in the local hall where much reminiscence and tales of times past took place.

LOMBARDSTOWN COMMUNITY COUNCIL

A general open meeting will take place in the John K. Sheehan meeting room in Glantane on 10th July at 8.00 pm. This is an opportunity for locals to become involved in their community, to put forward suggestions on improving local amenities and to have an input into future developments. There is some good news on the funding front which will be explained on the night.

PRIMARY GAMES: Congratulations to Ella O’Reilly on being selected for the Cork Primary Games team who will play at half time in the Munster Football Final on Saturday 23rd June in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Best wishes to Ella who is a member of our U14 panel.

CORK LADIES FOOTBALL CAMPS 2018: Please note the dates for the North Cork Camps Mallow will host from July 2nd to 5th and Banteer will host from Aug 7th to 10th . To book a place book online and pay on the first day of camp.

LIDL FUTURE STARS: Nominations are now open for this years LIDL FUTURE STARS events. Visit Lidl Ireland’s Facebook page and start nominating your Future Star. Aged 8–12. Please note the details before nominating to make sure the player you nominate is available to take part if they are selected. Players must be accompanied by an Adult on the day. Last year girls from our Club had a fantastic day so start nominating NOW. This year’s event will be hosted by NEMO RANGERS on Sunday 15th July.
