Humphrey Kelleher Cup

Millstreet will play host to the Humphrey Kelleher Memorial Under-15 Football Cup Final on Saturday. The tournament remembered a great exponent in Millstreet and Cork football who helped Cork capture the 1973 All Ireland title. The untimely death of the former Cork inter- county star in 2005 cast a gloom all over the GAA world, and to acknowledge his pursuits, a splendid trophy was initiated for a special tournament co-ordinated by Cork Rebel Óg and Duhallow Division.

U15 county teams from Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Waterford, Kerry and Cork will participate. The preliminary rounds are in Knocknagree and Dromtariffe from 10.30am, with the Shield and Cup finals scheduled for 2pm and 3.15pm respectively in Millstreet Town Park.
