Boherbue deserved their success, refusing to be ruffled after Dromtariff­e snatched the initiative in the opening half. TURNING POINT

Boherbue were forced to battle their way through a thorny patch, Dromtariff­e making life difficult on leading by five points into 1st half injury time. However Boherbue hauled themselves right back into contention with a 1-1 tally, that burst set the tone for the restart where Boherbue spelt out their intent.

Essentiall­y a team victory with a number of stand out performanc­es, Boherbue owed much to the brilliance of Jerry O’Connor and his 1-8 tally proved it. Ever consistent in attack over the extended hour, his goal on the stroke of half time calipulted Boherbue right back into contention.

With the Ducon Cup parked up in a familiar home, Boherbue and Dromtariff­e turn their attentions to championsh­ip action, two wins this weekend will guarantee semi final positions. On current standing, Boherbue are the form team, Dromtariff­e leading the charge to wrestle away the title from their grasp.
