Obituaries

THE death occurred on June 29 at Cork University Hospital of Andy Rice, 4 Church View, Ballindangan, Mitchelstown. The late Andy was well known. He was Ex Motor Squadron Fermoy & MPC Cork. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary.

There was a large and represented attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from the Chapel Of Rest Baldwin St, Mitchelstown, to Ballindangan Church on Sunday evening, and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday.

Interment took place to St Dominic’s Cemetery, Glanworth.

To his sons Andrew, William, Con and Tim; daughters Teresa McGuire and Hannah; sons-inlaw; daughters-in-law; brothers; sisters; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; grandchildren; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

MARGARET SLATTERY

THE death occurred on June 30 at Amberley Nursing Home Fermoy of Margaret Slattery (née Hynes), Gortnaskey Araglin.

The late Margaret was in her 87th year. She was a very popular member of the Araglin Community. Her popularity was borne out in the very large and represented attendance at the removal on Monday evening from Martin Neligan’s Funeral Home Fermoy to the Church of the Immacalate Conception, Araglin, and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Tuesday.

Interment took place to Araglin Cemetery.

To her husband James; daughter, Irene; brother, John; sisters Kit, Maureen and Vera; grandson Rory; son-in-law Denis; nephew; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
