Vera is new principal at Scoil Chuimsitheach, An Bóthar Buí

THE Board of Management of An Scoil Chuimsitheach, An Bóthar Buí, has announced the appointment of Ms. Vera Leader as principal.

Ms. Leader is a native of Kilcorney and a graduate of UCC and UCD. She has over 20 years experience in teaching having worked in Beara Community School and in the Patrician Academy, Mallow. Vera was an assistant principal and twice served as acting deputy principal of the Patrician Academy.

Welcoming the appointment, retiring Principal Mary O’Keefe congratulated Ms Leader and wished her well as she prepares to lead the school.

Ms Leader said that she is looking forward to working with the staff, students and parents to ensure that all student needs are met and that all students are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.

“This is a school where educational excellence is found in a truly caring environment,” Vera said.
