SHEILA BERMINGHAM

The death occurred on July 17 at her residence in Ballynoe, Kildorrery, of Sheila Bermingham.

The late Sheila had been ill for a long time, an illness that she bore with great dignity. She was a popular member of the local community. This was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance at the family home on Wednesday for her Funeral to the nearby St Bartholome­w’s Church. There was also a large attendance at the Requiem Mass and burial on Thursday. Interment took place to the local cemetery. To her brothers, Maurice, Liam. Michael, and Sean; sisters, Brid (O’Brien), Maura, and Catherine (Casey); brother-in-law, Paudie; sisters-in-law, Mary, Mary, Ina, and Gretta; nephews; nieces; grandnephe­ws; grandniece­s; great grandniece; cousins; and dear friends Mossie and Bridie Caplice, we tender our sincere sympathy.

SEAMUS SHEEHY

The death occurred on July 20 at Gascoigne House Dublin of Seamus Sheehy.

The late Seamus was a retired Professor at UCD and a native of Ballyporee­n. He was a well-known figure in Mitchelsto­wn and the local areas in his younger days and a very popular member of the community. This was borne out by the very large and represente­d attendance at the Removal on Monday evening from his residence. There was also a large attendance at the Requiem Mass on Tuesday at the Church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown. Interment took place to Kilternan Park Cemetery. To his wife, Sile; sons, Kevin and Garrett; daughter, Ruth; grandchild­ren, Oscar, Cuan, Emilia, and Juliette; son-in-law, Denis; daughters-in-law, Kristina and Jennifer; brother, Maurice (Mitchelsto­wn); sisters-in-law, Mary, Marie, Margaret, Nan, and Mary; brother-in-law, Tom; nieces; nephews; grandniece­s; grandnephe­ws; cousins; neighbours; friends; and colleagues in UCD, we tender our sincere sympathy.
