Mallow United Premiershi­p forecast game now online

MALLOW United’s weekly fundraiser returns with the start of the Premiershi­p season on August 11 with a jackpot of €1,300.

All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Mallow United Developmen­t Fund, the purpose of which is to improve facilities of grassroots soccer in Mallow. The weekly prize for the highest score is €120, with the jackpot going to the person with the 11 correct results and two lucky dips of €20.

This coming season the club is pleased to announce that the game is now available to play online as well as the traditiona­l paper format. To sign up to play online users need to purchase credit of €10 for five weeks, €20 for 11 weeks or €50 for the entire season of 30 weeks. Credit can be purchased from the club shop at www.mallowunit­ed.com or alternativ­ely by cash payment to Dave Lyons (086 6082848).

Online users will receive an email each week with a link to submit their card. They can also keep track of how they and other online users are doing each week as the goals go in with live score updates.

Cards for week one of the competitio­n are now available both online and in paper format from the clubs regular sellers.

Plans are well underway at Mallow United for the club’s second Football For All Blitz which this year will be one of the events in the week long FAI Festival of Football. The blitz will take place on Sunday, August 12 at St. Gobnaits Park and will include participan­ts from Mallow United Football For All, Mallow United Special Olympics, Killarney FC Football For All and Kerry Allstars Special Olympics in an event that focuses on inclusion in sport.

In attendance at the event will be FAI President Tony Fitzgerald and FAI CEO John Delaney and a number of other special guests from the Irish soccer ranks. Further details will be available closer to the event.
