Planning for college? Mallow Credit Union wants to help you

-

WELL done to all students who have received their Leaving Cert results this year.

Those who are intending to pursue third level education this September are invited to enter Mallow Credit Union’s Student Scholarship Scheme to be in with a chance of winning one of nine €500 scholarships to put towards their college expenses.

Since Mallow Credit Union’s expansion into Charleville, there are now nine secondary schools within their common bond, so one scholarship has been assigned to each school, making the students’ chance of securing a scholarship even better.

Application forms for entry are available in each of Mallow Credit Union’s eight branches; Mallow, Millstreet, Ballydaheen, Buttevant, Broadford, Dromcollogher, Doneraile and Charleville.

Forms can also be downloaded from mallowcu.ie and returned in branch, via post or email.

The closing date for entry is August 31, and parents or guardians can apply on a student’s behalf.

Mallow Credit Union understands that this can be an extremely expensive time for families and have created a competitive loan rate for those going on to college. Their 4% Education Loan (4.1% A.P.R.) is much lower than many other financial offerings available and as with all credit union loans there are no hidden fees or charges, there’s no penalty if you make additional repayments or repay the loan early and loan top-ups are available to see students through their complete college experience.

The Education Loan rate of just 4% (4.1% A.P.R.) is also available to help parents with back to school costs.

If you would like to know more please call into any one of their eight branches or visit their website www. mallowcu.ie/education-loans.
