SEMI-FINAL

On this Sunday evening 7 p.m. all roads will lead to the Patsy O’Sullivan Memorial Park for the second of the Duhallow Junior A championsh­ip semi-finals between Cullen and Dromtariff­e, throw-in 7 p.m. Boherbue await the winners in the final. night we have a group from Doneraile and roundabout back again. ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH

Mass on Sunday Morning . at 10.30am.as usual. Holy Hour and Mass on Monday Evening at 7pm. Morning Mass on Tuesday at 9.30am.

Mass and all devotions at St. Michael’s Church in Freemount are now available on the internet. The web address is myipstream. com/freemount.html. This will be especially welcome for all people who are housebound or away from home.Please pass the details onto your friends.

St. Michael’s Room is now available to parents who would like to bring young children to Sunday Mass.

COMHALTAS SEISIÚN

The weekly Seisiún was cancelled on Wednesday August 8th .due to the death of Peggy Keane R.I.P. We continued in The Heritage Centre on Wednesday night last August 15th.at 8.30pm. We had another full house with The Castlemagn­er Singers ,our special guests. This was a most enjoyable night and was enjoyed by all.

Our Seisiún continues next Wednesday Night August 22nd. As usual we have music singing dancing and storytelli­ng and craic. The usual tea at half time. Our Guests on Wednesday next (Aug. 22nd) will be Elle Marie O’Dwyer and Tracey O Mullane.

Admission €10 with special concession­s for groups of 10 or more. Billy O’Brien and John Murphy and a host of other entertaine­rs will be on stage.. Make a note of the date and come early and bring your friends.

RECENT DEATH

The death of Peggy Keane, Freemount, took place on Monday August 6th.at her residence after a long illness borne with dignity. The removal of her remains took place on Thursday from her home to St. Michael’s Church ,Freemount , for concelebra­ted Mass.The funeral took place afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery ,Kanturk. We extend the sympathy of the parish to her husband ,Pat, sons Damien ,Francis,Pat, and Aidan, daughters Bernadette, Patricia and Carmel, and brother Maurice O’Riordan, and a large circle of extended family, relatives and friends. May her gentle Soul rest in peace.

WEST OF IRELAND TRIP

This trip takes place from August 26th. To August 31st. The group will stay at “The Westport Woods” Co. Mayo. This stay will include Bed and Breakfast, and evening Meal. Great entertainm­ent including singing and dancing each night,This is a great trip around the west of Ireland. MACRA NEWS

Freemount macra members will be attending the Avondhu Macra Ball on the 15th September 2018 in Springfort Hall Hotel, Mallow, Co.Cork. Drinks reception will be taking place at 7pm followed by a four course meal and music by "The Incredible­s".
