‘Taster day’ at Centre Stage School in Mallow
ON Saturday next, August 25, the enthusiastic teachers at Centre Stage School, Mallow, (across from the Arches bar and restaurant) will be conducting free 30-minute taster classes in a range of different disciplines.
Modern dance, ballet, musical theatre, pop singing and many more disciplines will be included.
It all kicks off in Studio One at 11am with Twinkle Toes Ballet, which is aimed at 3-to-5-year-olds, introducing the children to ballet through games, songs and exercises.
This is a firm favourite with budding ballerinas, and classes in recent years filled up quickly, so this taster class is a good chance for parents and children to see what is involved.
This is followed by Intro to Jazz (for children aged from five to seven) at 11.45am, followed by many more events through out the day.

Centre Stage is now 15 years in existence and offers over 100 classes weekly from its Mallow Studio.
It also offers classes in Kanturk and Charleville and has yearly production in both the Everyman Palace, Cork, and Cork Opera House.
The open day is a great opportunity for students who have never been with Centre Stage School to see what classes are available and which of these classes would be of most benefit to them. They will also find out, of course, which classes they most enjoy.
It is also a chance for current students to try out a new class they have never undertaken before.
