IRISH CANCER SOCIETY FUNDRAISING WALK:

Local man Brendan Barrow will be heading out to to climb Island Peak, Mount Everest in October in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. To help fundraise for this event, a fundraising walk has been arranged on Sunday 23rd September @ 11am at Mount Hillary, Banteer. There will be three routes - 4km, 7km or 10km routes available. Entry fee - €10 per person - €20 per family (including refreshments afterwards). Brendan would be delighted with your support on the day.

COFFEE MORNING:

Join us for a coffee morning in Glantane Community Centre in aid of Marymount Hospice from 10-1 on Saturday 22nd of September. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Baking donations would be very welcome. Enquiries to Neta Casey at 086 0833574.

LAHARN CROSS FUNDRAISING DANCE:

Laharn Community Action LTD is holding a fundraising dance in Kades Kounty, Glenville on Saturday 20th October. Music will be provided by The Singing Jarvey and dancing will commence at 10pm until 12.30am. Admission is €10 and all moneys raised will go towards providing Open Air Crossroads Dancing at Laharn Cross for summer 2019. Further information from Sheila on 087 9187222.

BWEENG CELTIC FC:

Well done to both under 13’s and under 11 teams who played at home the weekend just past and won. They played Riverstown and Everton teams. Next weekend the under 13’s play Killeady in Curra at 12noon. Current training schedule (subject to change so be sure you are on the right text list!) All sessions outdoors in Bweeng at present.

U8/U10 Blitz: Congratulations to all the u8/ u10 girls on their great performances today in the Passage West blitz. A fantastic day was had by all the girls, thanks the parents and of course the trainers for making it possible for the girls to participate in the day.

Thanks to Passage West GAA Ladies Football Blitz for organising such a well organized day. U12 NORTH CORK FINAL: Kilshannig 1-10 Glanworth 3-5 Hard luck to the U12 team , trainers and mentors who were narrowly defeated by Glanworth.

Well done to all the girls who put on an excellent display of football and who kept trying their best until the final whistle unfortunately it just wasn’t our night.

Congratulations to Glanworth on the win and a great game.
