How to grow in an ‘uncertain industry’
HOW to grow the Irish agriculture in an uncertain industry is the theme of a discussion which will be held at the Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney.
With Brexit still very much far from resolved and with the huge pressures facing the farming industry, there will be lots of questions and lots of answers on the night with the floor open to all.
Muskerry Macra in association witth IFAC and Macra Agricultural Skillnet are the organisers and the guest speakers on Friday, September 28 will be Minister of Agiculture Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, along with Brian Denn, an IFAC reprsentative.
In addition, Michael Doran, chairperson of the ICBF board and Pat Dillon, Head of Animal and Grasslands Programme at Teagasc will also speak. The discussion will be chaired by Alan Jagoe, who is the Agri Aware Vice Chair and a past Macra President.
This discussion is open to everyone and is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the future impacts on Irish Agriculture. Light refreshments will be served on the night and the discussion will kick off at 7.30pm.
Hillfest back in Kildorrery
ON Saturday, September 29, Kildorrery Hillfest are holding a Barn Dance at the Old Creamery Yard in Kildorrery. Doors open at 9pm til late.
There will be Live Music from “The Whole Hog Band” followed by “Disco” and Election of the “Sheriff of Kildorrery”.
