That’s complemented by Bingo in the Bush Bar (9pm); a Quiz in Corkery’s Bar (9.30pm); and ‘45’ cards in The Bridge Bar.
The Millstreet Gramophone Circle meet at the Millstreet Day Care Centre, Clara Road, from 8.15pm to 10.15pm. Each month, a different presenter shares a selection of some 24 choices of music and song ranging from classical to modern.
Meanwhile, the Cullen staging returns by popular demand following the success of last year’s super night of dance, music and entertainment, Cullen Pipe Band hosting a great night of entertainment in Cullen Community Centre.
Patrons can savour World Championship-quality performances from Cullen Pipe Band Pipers and Drummers. That’s complemented by singing, dancing, music and story-telling performances from those at the All-Ireland Comhaltas Championships in Drogheda and All Ireland Scór winners from Sligo.
Performers will include the fantastic Crossfields Céilí Band under-18 champions; Diarmuid Cronin, under-18 storytelling champion; and Maggie Moynihan, Scór na nÓg solo singing champion, among others.
Plus, there will also be Munster and County Championship performers. The local choir from the Community Games All-Ireland in Limerick University will also perform on the night. Proceedings will get underway at 8pm sharp, but patrons are asked to arrive earlier to let the students young and old play pipes and drums. Teas, coffees and refreshments will be served.
