THE latest update to the new Mazda6 Sedan and Wagon is the most comprehensive yet, offering enhanced quality in almost every detail of Mazda’s flagship model.

It features a more mature, elegant and refined exterior design, and extensive interior revisions including completely new front and rear seating, premium quality trim and finish detailing throughout and, for models equipped with the MZD Connect multimedia system, the availability of Apple Car Play and Android Auto .

New technologies boost the performance of all SKYACTIV powertrains, and driving dynamics have been enhanced through increased body rigidity, steering and suspension system revisions, greater aerodynamic efficiency and reduced NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness).

Safety has also been improved, the New Mazda6 offering an even wider range of driver support systems through the adoption of advanced i-ACTIVSENSE safety features such as Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go , and a 360° View Monitor.

• A new frontal design adopts a more powerful, deeply sculpted look accentuating horizontality, a low centre of gravity and a wider stance.

• The new front grille design features a lower bottom edge and signature wing tips underscoring the headlamps.

• The grille mesh is positioned deeper within the surround, and the mesh design is a deeper, more intricate pattern of small blocks, strengthening the 3-D presentation of the front.

• New headlamps adopt a sleek, wide shape. LED turn signal forms a line along the unit’s upper length, and the signature lighting penetrates the projector to create a bolder expression when illuminated.

• The fog lamp function is now integrated within the headlamp units, which allows a more horizontal design to the front bumper corners, emphasising the vehicle’s broad stance.

• The body colour now extends to the lower rear bumper section to present a tauter look of higher quality.

• The sedan features a new design for the rear-facing section of the trunk lid and the horizontal line of its extended garnish, for a more refined look.

• Theexhaust pipes are now positioned closer to the outer edges of the vehicle, and the pipe diameter has been increased.

• New designs for the 17-inch and 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels convey an image of larger diameter, with a more sculpted appearance.

• Soul Red Crystal replaces Soul Red in the body colour line-up.

Newly available, Mazda’s highest-quality interior package features Nappa leather seats, real Sen wood trim and suede-finish materials, and unique colour coordination, Full leather interior introduces a front seat ventilation system1 for the first time on a Mazda. All-new front and rear seat designs feature thicker padding and wider cushions, and the increased use of leather and fabric, combining improved comfort with the quality befitting a flagship model.

New Active Driving Display technology now projects vehicle information directly onto the windscreen (standard on all equipment levels). An eight-inch centre display screen makes its first appearance in a Mazda6. A seven-inch TFT LCD display1 is positioned within the driver’s instrument binnacle on higher grade models. Apple Car Play and Android Auto now available for Mazda6 models equipped with the MZD Connect multimedia system .

The instrument panel and door trim designs have been refined - the height of the centre and side ventilation louvres matched to enhance the lateral flow of the instrument panel.

A new storage compartment beneath the rear centre armrest features a pair of USB ports that let occupants charge portable devices and front and rear seat courtesy lamps1 contribute to greater convenience and safety.

New technologies introduced in the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 and SKYACTIV-G 2.5 petrol engines, as well as the SKYACTIV-D 2.2 clean diesel engine and all are homologated according to the requirements of the new WLTP/ RDE test cycle, and meet Euro 6d temp emissions regulations.

Torque at low rpm is boosted for faster throttle response from a standstill, and changes in acceleration in response to accelerator pedal action optimised.

SKYACTIV-D 2.2 (Fuel consumption: 4.4 - 5.4 l/100km, CO2 emissions: 117 - 142 g/km) while a new urea Selective Catalytic Reductions (SCR) system significantly reduces NOx emissions, achieving an excellent level of environmental performance and complying with strict EURO 6d temp emissions regulations.

Sodium-filled exhaust valves enhance heat transfer and coolant control valves improve engine warm-up efficiency for improved real-world fuel economy and a new two-stage, twin turbocharger with variable turbine geometry increases maximum output from 129 to 135 kW, and maximum torque from 420 to 445 Nm.

SKYACTIV- G 2.0 (Fuel consumption: 6.1 - 6.6 l/100km, CO2 emissions: 139 - 150g/km) features new high-flow intake ports, increased fuel spray pressure and redesigned nozzles for the multi-hole injectors, a new piston and piston skirt barrel shape, a coolant control valve for improved engine warming efficiency and asymmetrical oil rings.

As a result, low-end torque is boosted by 6.2%, while the resulting efficiency gains mean emissions easily comply with the new WLTP / RDE test cycles, falling well under the particle number limits without needing a gasoline particle filter.

SKYACTIV- G 2.5 (Fuel consumption: 6.7 - 6.8 l/100km, CO2 emissions: 153 - 156g/km) features a high, 13.0:1 compression ratio, the reduced weight of an aluminium-alloy cylinder block and a balancer unit that reduces low frequency rattling and a new cylinder deactivation system reduces fuel consumption when driving at constant speed of 80 km/h
