Tom O’Farrell

The death occurred on September 29 of Tom O’Farrell, Glenduff Upper, Mitchelsto­wn after an illness.

The late Tom, a member of the farming community, was very well known in the local area.

His popularity was borne out in the very large and represente­d attendance at the funeral on Sunday evening in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Kilbehenny, and also at the Requiem Mass in Ballygibli­n Church on Monday.

Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery. To his wife Mary, (née Hoare); daughter; Mary Therese (Clifford); son-in-law, Mike; grandchild­ren, Aine and Tom; sister, Mary Fitzgerald (Adare); nieces; nephews; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Margaret Power

The death occurred on Saturday, September 29, of Margaret Power (née Hickey).

The late Margaret died at her family home in Ballinloug­h, Cork.

She was formerly of Kildorrery, County Cork.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Jim (a retired Garda).

There was a very large and represente­d attendance at the removal on Monday evening from the funeral home of Jeremiah O’Connor, Boreenaman­na Road, Cork, to the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballinloug­h. There was also a very large attendance at the Requiem Mass and burial on Tuesday.

Interment took place to St Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.

To her daughter, Deirdre; sons, Liam, Gerry, John, Seamus; brother, Nicholas; son-in-law; daughters-in-law; grandchild­ren; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sympathy.
