Keeping our senior citizens safe in their homes

-

PERSONAL monitored alarms are now available for those over 65 years and of limited resources, through the Seniors Alert Scheme.

The monitored alarm is a lifeline to family members, neighbours and friends in the event of an emergency.

This scheme is delivered by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership in association with many Community Alert Groups throughout your area. The purpose of the Seniors Alert Scheme is to enable older persons to live securely in their homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind by providing them with a free personal monitored alarm.

Applicants will receive the first year monitoring free of charge and the cost for second and subsequent years will be €65 +VAT if your monitor is linked to a landline. GSM systems are available should you not have a landline, free for the first year and €137 + VAT for second and subsequent years.

Those interested are urged to apply through your registered organisation/group if you require an alarm. Avondhu Blackwater Partnership will process your application if you live in any of the following areas: Fermoy Town and surrounding area, Mallow Town and surrounding area, Killavullen, Castletownroche, Ballyclough, Doneraile, Dromahane, Lombardstown, Glantane, Glenville, Bartlemy, Clondulane, Coolagown, Castlelyons, Glanworth, Kilworth and/or any area not serviced by a registered organisation.
