Milan comes to Cullen for night of glamour
A NIGHT of glamour supporting Cullen Community Centre and the Children’s Ward at CUH attracted a capacity attendance to a fashion show in the community centre on Friday night last.
Showcasing the latest autumn/winter trends from leading stores and boutiques across the southwest region, the show featured ladies wear and menswear with everything from formal wear to occasional and casual clothes and accessories delighting patrons.
MC Helen Murphy of Daily Diva Diary welcomed models and exhibits from outlets such as Fran & Jane Cork; Scarlett’s Killarney; Philip Lenihan, Newmarket; O’Shea’s, Newmarket; Noirin’s, Millstreet; Lady Lydia, Kanturk; along with Luna Bella, O’Flynn Stores; Morgan’s, Profile; Moda; and Barry’s Mensware & Fitness Solutions, all from Mallow.
Proceedings opened with a cheese and wine reception, which added to the atmosphere of a super night.
Beneficiaries from the staging were the Children’s Ward in Cork University Hospital, for whom the Cullen hosting will assist in the purchase of reclining chairs. The show also supported the host venue which in recent years undertook a substantial renovation costing in excess of €200,000.
In doing so, the facility was restored to its former glory, providing a focal point in the community to facilitate a wide variety of local groups to get together for meetings, group activities, social support, public information, cultural activities, as well as sports and leisure activities.
