Margaret Power (née Hickey)

The death occurred at her residence of Ballinloug­h, Cork, on September 29 of Margaret Power (née Hickey).

The late Margaret was formerly of Kildorrery, County Cork.

She was a popular member of the local community, and this was borne out by the very large and represente­d attendance at the Funeral Home of Jeremiah Connor, Boreenaman­na Road, Cork, on Monday evening, Oct l, to the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballinloug­h.

There was also a very large attendance at the Requiem Mass, and at the burial on Tuesday as well.

Interment took place to St Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.

The late Margaret was predecease­d by her brother, Bill.

To her husband, Jim (retired Garda Siochana); daughter, Deirdre; sons ,Liam, Gerry, John and Seamus; brothers Nicholas and the late Bill; son-in-law; daughters-in-law; grandchild­ren; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Margaret ‘Peggie’ Casey

The death occurred on Wednesday, October 10, of Margaret (Peggie) O’Neill, Crowley Terrace, Mitchelsto­wn. The late Peggie was predecease­d by her husband, Billy.

She was a popular member of the local community.

Her popularity was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance that attended her funeral at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Kilbehenny on Sunday night and also at the Requiem Mass on Monday in the Parish Church, Mitchelsto­wn.

Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery.

To her sons, John, William, Paul, Timmy, and Noel; daughters, Margaret (Roche), Cathy (O’Brien), and Elma; sister, Mary Byrne; daughters-inlaw; son-in-law; sisters-in-law; grandchild­ren; great grandchild­ren; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Archie O’Mahony

The death occurred on Wednesday, October 10, of Archie O’Mahony at Cork University Hospital.

The late Arthur – or Archie, as he was best known – was a native of 20 Robert Street, Mitchelsto­wn, and he resided in Fermoy and Birmingham. He was well-known locally. There was a large attendance at the removal on Thursday evening from the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, Mitchelsto­wn, to the Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday.

Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery.

To his nephews, Tom, Jerry and Padraigh; nieces, Margaret, Siobhan, Helen, Tessa, Mary and Bernadette; grandnephe­ws; grandniece­s; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we would like to tender our sincere sympathy.
