HARVEST MASS

On Sunday next, October 28th, the Annual Harvest Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church in Castlemagner at the 11:30 am Mass. This is a mass in thanksgiving for the fruits of the harvest at this time of year.

It is a moment to reflect on the gifts of the earth as the year turns towards the gathering of the harvest and reaping of the crops sown in the spring. Gifts from the harvest will be offered at this mass. The choir resumes on this Sunday also and new members are very welcome.

COMMUNITY SINGING

Castlemagner community singing has resumed on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm with tutor Maria Twomey. This brings the community together to experience the therapeutic value of music in an informal social setting. Old and new songs are explored. These classes are held upstairs in Castlemagner Community Centre in a comfortable surrounding. New members are very welcome to join.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

Castlemagner Sinsir Club are organising a trip to the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge Co Kildare on Saturday December 8th. The coach will depart Castlemagner church car park at 9.00 am and will return at 6.00 pm. The cost of coach per person is €25. There will be a stop on the way up and on the way home at Junction 14 for refreshments. Those interested in travelling should contact any member of the Sinsir Club, or ring 086 / 8521808.
