JU­VE­NILE WALK–Freemount Ju­ve­nile GAA an­nual spon­sored fun walk, run or crawl will take place on Sun­day Novem­ber 18th around the 4mile ring. Reg­is­tra­tion will be from 11:30 to 12 noon in the GAA dress­ing rooms and the walk will com­mence at 12 noon. All are very wel­come to at­tend and take part and your sup­port is greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.


Freemount Macra Na­tional club of the year win­ners 20172018. It was a great hon­our for our club mem­bers and of­fi­cers who trav­elled to Clonmel Park ho­tel last week­end to bring home the club of the year ti­tle. Freemount has been a very ac­tive club in this com­pe­ti­tion over the last 10 years. Claim­ing the ti­tle in 2011, 2014 and com­ing run­ners up in 2012 and 2017.

Though some of the faces and names have changed through the years, the sense of own­er­ship and com­mu­nity has con­tin­ued to shine through and the club con­tin­ues to grow from strength to strength. Cel­e­bra­tions were had in Kellys bar in Kan­turk last Sun­day night. We would like to thank all our club mem­bers who trav­elled to Clonmel to sup­port the club and not for­get­ting our won­der­ful club of­fi­cers for all their hard work through­out the year.


Items for these notes should be with the cor­re­spon­dent each Mon­day night be­fore 8pm .E-Mail osul­li­ hope­fully some new peo­ple also. Just turn up on the night and you we will make sure ev­ery­one is sorted with a play­ing part­ner.


Poker night in the so­cial club ev­ery Fri­day night from 9pm. This is on its third week and is prov­ing to be very pop­u­lar so please just come along if you wish to have a fun evening. €10 en­try fee on the night.


Kil­brin Golf So­ci­ety out­ing next year has been ar­ranged for 17ty May to Bantry Bay Golf Club. Din­ner and B&B in the West Lodge Ho­tel. Golf will take place in Bantry and Sk­ibereen. A de­posit is to be paid by 15th Novem­ber 2018. This is re­fund­able up un­til 15th May 2019 so please get your names in as soon as pos­si­ble. This year’s out­ing was a huge suc­cess so hope­fully we will have the same again in 2019.


On Sun­day Novem­ber 25th Dr Croke House will host and evening of re­mem­brance of peo­ple and places with po­etry song and craic plus a spe­cial guest. This will be from 8pm un­til 10pm so please mark the date in your di­ary.


The group are up and run­ning again. Last Mon­day morn­ing they ran a course on arts and crafts. This was a great suc­cess and there is much more in the pipe­line.


Sin­cere sym­pa­thy is ex­tended to He­len and Paul Byrne on the re­cent death of David, sym­pa­thy is also ex­tended to the Han­non fam­ily on the death of Josie. May their souls rest in peace.


This year’s St Stephen’s day walk will be go­ing to Cur­raghs. This will in­clude field walk­ing for the chil­dren. The Leni­hen fam­ily are or­gan­is­ing the trip and we will give fur­ther de­tails on this in the com­ing weeks.

These chil­dren from Kil­brin Na­tional School, with their teach­ers Lisa Buck­ley and Ca­tri­ona Mur­phy, un­der­took a school clean up last week.
