€850,000 LEADER FUNDING BOOST FOR DUHALLOW

PROJECTS GIVEN FUNDING BOOST OF € 857,587 TO DATE

WHILE it certainly is no easy task manouvering and undertaking the deluge of administrative tasks when it relates to LEADER funding, IRD Duhallow say it has been working hard on the ground to support businesses and local communities to bring projects to the value of just shy of €858,000 to fruition under the Leader 2014-2020 programme.

They are also very pleased to announce that Macroom Food Festival is among the first in the country to receive €28,136.73 funding under the Artisan Food Initiative.

Moreover, in the coming months, the team at IRD Duhallow will be aiding other local projects to get off the ground.

Projects which have been given a welcome boost in Duhallow include €40,000 for footpaths in Boherbue along with €40,000 for Tullylease playground.

The new Rockchapel playground, which is set for next to the community centre in the village, will get €36,435.20.
