Doneraile store scoops trio of awards
MANAGEMENT and staff at the multi-award winning Roche’s Londis in Doneraile were once again in celebratory mood after the store scooped another clutch of prestigious national awards.
The store, which last year won the Londis Store of the Year Award, has once again flown the flag for north Cork at this years Londis Retailing Awards – picking up another three additions to it’s already bulging trophy cabinet.
In addition to heading home with the ‘Fresh Store’ and ‘Deli Hot Foods’ Store of the Year gongs, store owner John Roche was also weighed down with the prestigious Retail Excellence accolade – one of only two Cork outlets to scoop this award.
However, it was a burden that John and his wife Majella were only too happy to carry.
“We were thrilled to have received these awards, which are testament to the extremely hard working team that we have in store,” said John.
“The Retail Excellence accolade is not just a mark of pride for our store and staff. Just as importantly, it shows our customers that we are passionate about delivering a top quality service. This is a very important point of differentiation in what is a very competitive marketplace and we’re honoured to have received this award,” he added.
Londis sales director Conor Hayes said the ongoing success of the Doneraile store meant that they were justifiably regarded as being among the top retailers in the entire country.
“Once again Roche’s Londis Doneraile can be proud to consider itself among an elite number of stores that have exhibited great passion and dedication for best practice in retailing - putting them amongst the best in the industry,” said Mr Hayes.
“Their focus on continually exceeding customer expectations is a testament to the hard work of their staff, for which they should be very proud. Yet again, I commend them on their wonderful achievements.”
