Final meeting on socio-economic planforCharleville

- Mike McGrath’s mmcgrath@corkman.ie

THE third and final meeting in the series to formulate a new socio-economic plan for Charleville will take place at the Charleville Park Hotel on this Thursday night at 8pm.

At the meeting, personnel from the Paul O’Raw Consultancy will present a draft plan for approval by the meeting. The contents of the plan will be discussed and, if approved, will define the direction of life in Charleville from 2019 to 2023.

The meetings were initiated by Charleville Heritage Society in association with Ballyhoura Development Clg and are being facilitated by the Paul O’Raw Consultancy from Killarney, the Ballyhoura Development team and members of the heritage society. It is envisaged that the plan, if adopted, will be delivered by a new committee drawn from those who have been attending the previous meetings as well as Thursday night’s meeting, who will then implement the new plan going forward.

There has been a great response by the various local clubs and organisation to the previous two meetings, and while all were not represented at these it is still not too late for those who have not attended to have an input to the new plan.

Everybody who attended the previous meetings are urged to attend this final one, also, so that they can have a last word on the final plan, which will give direction of the social and economic life of Charleville for the foreseeable future.
