Duhallow REVAMP brings a new lease of life

Duhallow REVAMP

-

Duhallow REVAMP has been in operation since January 1st 2016 with the assistance of Community Service Programme funding for staffing requirements.

Duhallow REVAMP is a furniture recycling and re-use initiative which was established with three key purposes: providing sheltered training and employment opportunities, helping our environment by reducing landfill and fly tipping, and providing quality upcycled furniture at low cost to pensioners, low income families, people who are marginalised and unemployed because of mental health difficulties and other reasons.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Duhallow REVAMP continually puts efforts to increase its environmental impact by reaching out to more households in the region.

The drive now is to see Duhallow Furniture REVAMP as a household name when it comes to furniture recycling, restoration and second hand furniture sales. While increasing awareness of the environmental issues, promoting their services should reach all vulnerable people in their area by supplying affordable furniture.

With an expanding reach, REVAMP will be in a position to offer further employment and training opportunities for vulnerable people in the area and the youth unemployment challenges.

AN AWARD WINNING SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

As a growing social enterprise in the Duhallow region, REVAMP is making a huge impact in lowering the carbon footprint in the community while benefiting vulnerable families and their furniture needs in their home. This has been recognised both nationally and locally by awards received, including: Cork Environmental Forum, Upcycling challenges, Pakman Finalist 2018.

Duhallow REVAMP is also the first enterprise in Ireland to be awarded the Reuse Quality Mark.
